Fornado — Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Fornado mobile app (the "App") handles personal data when club members use it.
1. Who is responsible (the controller)

2. Information we collect
Account information you provide: your name, email address, profile photo, and any other information your club asks you to provide to set up your member account.
Device and usage data: via Google Firebase, we automatically receive basic device information (model, operating system version), usage patterns within the App, crash logs, and push notification tokens, so the App can function reliably and we can fix problems.
Camera: used only if you choose to set a profile photo or scan a payment QR code; we do not retain camera footage beyond that immediate purpose.
Location: only if you give the App permission, and only for features that need it. Your location is not shared with third parties and is not used for advertising. You can withdraw the permission at any time in your device's settings.
3. How we use your information
We use this information to manage your club account, verify your identity as a member, display your profile within the club, process payments where your club has enabled that feature, improve and troubleshoot the App, send you push notifications you have opted into, and keep the App secure.
4. Data sharing and processors
The App relies on Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Storage, Messaging, and Crashlytics) to operate. Where a payment feature is enabled, a third-party payment provider (such as Payconiq) processes that payment under its own terms. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use advertising services in the App.
5. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as necessary to provide the App's services, meet legal requirements, or maintain the App's security. You can request deletion of your account at any time.
6. Security
We rely on encrypted connections, Firebase's security rules, access controls, and server-side protections to help keep your data safe.
7. Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian data protection law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Belgium, this is the Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données (APD/GBA), www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.
8. Children's privacy
The App is intended for use by sports club members generally and is not directed at young children. Where a club registers a minor's account, this is done under the club's own responsibility and, where required, with parental or guardian consent.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the "Effective date" above.
